Sysert is a town where the real history of the Turchaninovs' factories intertwines closely with the mythology of the Ural tales. It was here, at the foot of the dam and among the old workshops, that the images of Danila the Master, and the mysterious force dwelling in the depths of the earth were "born." Light that does not mask but rather highlights authentic materials — old brick, wood texture, cast iron — will allow the town center to speak the language of legends. In the center of Sysert, between a modern playground, a landscaped embankment, and tourist zones, lie the ruins of old town buildings. The old, uneven, time-worn brick of the factory buildings carries authentic history within it. Unlike a smooth modern facade, it preserves roughness, chips, traces of soot and rain — a true "biography" of Ural industry. Today, two centers — the majestic Church of Simeon and Anna (erected between 1773 and 1789 in the traditions of Russian Baroque) and the austere building of the Factory Administration, forming a luminous ensemble — continue a dialogue in which the entire history of the town is encoded. This is the path to genuine identity — when a town is not merely lit up, but meaningfully shines through the centuries.Light, too, senses the material, revealing time's traces — the very soul Bazhov, the Ural storyteller, wrote about.
